This 90 minute professional learning session is grounded in the research and framework of Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning. This professional learning experience explores why educator social and emotional learning (SEL) is essential for thriving schools, strong relationships, and positive student outcomes. Using CASEL’s five core competencies—self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making—as the foundation, educators will deepen their understanding of how SEL shapes classroom culture, educator well-being, instructional practice, and student success. Participants will engage in reflection, practical strategies, and collaborative learning designed to strengthen both personal resilience and professional impact across K–12 settings.
